I communicated with ACES over several months when I was first looking for a teaching job in China. They were very communicative, pretty accomodating (I am in China with my husband and two kids), and they were helpful in figuring out some special needs we had - finding a Kindergarten for my son, etc. The reason we decided not to go through them was the pitifully low pay. All of the other perks seemed great - Chinese lessons, airfare, food, housing, etc etc. In my opinion, you could find a better paying job with equal perks. Having said that, if you need/want the hand-holding that they will provide (I really liked that), and are not in need of much $$, then by all means, they seem like a great organization, and they seem like they will take good care of you. Best of luck. |
