Just found a flyer in my postbox for a new English school in the neighbourhood. Their USP is that all teachers are Japanese. That's top of their list of "merits". Is this a backlash? Should we be worried?! |

Could be that their specialty is teaching kids and the teachers therefore are bilingual. Often parents feel more comfortable leaving kids with another adult japanese than a foreigner who only speaks English whom the parents can not communicate with.
Japanese teachers also understand English grammar better than the average native speaker too and can explain it in japanese. |
