yahoo bb is pretty good. i didnt go through jimmies yahoo site, but to a store where they had english staff. the lady there filled out all the paper work and it came in about a week and a half. the download time is great, although when i make ip calls to the us, people say i sound fuzzy. good luck! |

There have been previous topics the same as this.
Depending if you are living in an apartment or a mansion you may be able to connect into a special plan solely for residents of that mansion/apartment.
My mansion has such a deal and it is cheaper and faster then anything yahooBB offered.
Depending on how many ppl use that special connection in the mansion/apartment the pricing will vary.
Basically more ppl connected = less cost. |

I use Yahoo BB. Internet service is fairly good, but you can't beat the prices for international calling(uses the Internet). I figure I save quite a bit every month right there on long distance calls.
Highly recommended |

The thing you have to keep in mind about using Yahoo BB to call long distance is that your bandwidth is used for the phone calls.
So, in order to not sound 'fuzzy' and get a good connection, you should make sure that your computer is not doing any internet activity or even OFF during phone calls. I was getting a lot of drop outs until I realized that it was because I was downloading files at the same time.
The EASIEST way to get Internet in japan is through NTT's OCN as they have english service and manuals. If you can't get someone to help you with yahoo BB in Japanese it can be very difficult. |

Might I recommend the "Search" function for questions like this? This question gets recycled about once a month at least and as far as I know, the answers are always the same. It always results in a pissing contest between me and whoever uses Yahoo. Whatever. Try these links.

Jim. I have listed these as stickies in case anyone asks again and they dont have to go to the trouble of making another post. |
