I have a job in Nanchang, China. Anyone have more info on the place? It's a really professional school with a lot of local news publicity. It's called the Phoenix Foreign Language School. I have my guard up because it all seems too good to be true. I guess I just have to find out. If you want to check out the school here's the website (it's in Chinese but it's got pics):

I leave this coming Tuesday... It's all happened really fast, so any last minute advice on anything would be really great! If not I guess I'll let you all know how things are going in a week..!

Did you research this place at all? Or are you just comming because they have nice photos on their website?

Some people are pretty brave to just jump off the deep end without looking into it first.

My Chinse isn't good enough to read their website, hence my inability to give you anyopinion.

If they hired youso quickly you can assue one thing:
-They considered you their best choice among all those FTs applying at the same time, or you were on the top of their long list. They acted swiftly because the term has commenced.

Beyond that, only the facts matter. Can you tell us more about your job? Is it a regular and legal one?

As for NANCHANG, it isn't my cup of tea but you could find far worse cities in China. It is simplya nondescript place. Good luck!

Yeah, I'd love to hear as well. We often hear the horror stories of people taking jobs on a whim, but it's very refreshing to hear a success story when it pans out. Not that teachers shouldn't plan ahead with jobs, but it's always nice to hear of these adventures that go right!
