The last few weeks i have become really intrested in teaching somewhere in latin America. To be honest i have no idea which country would be a good starting point. I have worked in Asia for nearly 3 years and want a change.

With my CELTA could i get a university job in the majority of Latin countries? Also abeing a pasty white English guy at 6ft 7 inches or 195cm i guess i would stick out like a sore thumb, would this pose any problems, or could it even have benefits?

Any comments would be really appreciated.

Do you have a degree to go with the CELTA? That and of course experience will help you land a university job. Timing is crucial when applying.

At 6'7" yeah you will stand out! That's not a barrier in LA, except perhaps on public transportation.

Picking a country...by the numbers, Mexico and Brazil would offer more opportunties by country size alone, but if you are qualified, you can go pretty much anywhere.
