Has anyone heard of this company and can anyone tell me what it is like working there?

Thanks.

AES has been discussed many times here. Do some search in the archives!

Apart from this, I can say so much: AES has a relatively good reputation. It is known to treat western teachers fairly. Living conditions vary a bit from location to location, with towns including Dalian (apparently pretty good) and Xi'an (housing unglorious).

But you will always find disgruntled exes that won't allow anything positive to be said about their former employer.

Have you tried doing a search? There are quite a few AES-related threads.

I worked for AES in 2002 in Dalian. It was a good school then with a few exceptions, but, hey, it's China. There was only one real downside to it, you have to work every weekend and your 2 days off each week are not necessarily 2 consecutive days. As result I didn't see anything except Dalian.

Cheers! Very Happy
