Can anyone tell me what are the chances of getting work in BA (at my age). Are there any age restrictions? I have a business degree from Australia and years and years of experience in IT and databases and programming etc. Bored with sitting in front of a computer all day so I'm doing a TESOl course and also conversational Spanish. I have dual British/Australian citizenship so could also work in the EU, perhaps Spain. I wouldn't mind combining teaching English with some IT related training. Does anyone know where I could start looking? What are the pay rates in Argentina? Is it best to simply turn up then start looking or organise something beforehand if possible? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Marine

Hi there, argentine attorney here, I think the job market in my country sucks, you have to really put a lot of effort when looking for a job and it may take time.

Salaries as you can imagine are low compared to the rest of the world...we earn in pesos...a Secretary probably makes btw AR$ 800 and $1200 a month (u$s 275 / u$s 400).

Anyway, job searches are very personal and people have different experiencies (some good, some bad)...so its hard to give a suggestion that will fit everybody.

Perhaps someone has a good experience to share?. Suerte ! Un Beso.

Thanks Redley,

It sound hard work just to get a job. Not sure where to go yet, all the jobs seem to be in Korea or Japan for EFL. Sorry my Spanish is beginner. Perhaps I'll go to Madrid/Barcelona (I do have EU c'ship) but really love the idea of Latin America, perhaps it's because I read Gabbo's 100 years of solitude. Does anyone know what Columbia is like? Better...worse...
