Hello,

My Chinese friend, (who lives in the US), told me that there would not be so many private tutoring opportunities in Harbin because it is not so cosmopolitan and go getting as other cities. Can anyone verify this? Thanks for any info on tutoring in Harbin.
Plus, I know it is very cold...and do they keep the schools and flats warm enough?

Thanks!

Jesseybell

Lots of chances for finding extra work in Harbin. Also I more comfortable in Harbin in winter than I was back home in sunny South Africa. Its geared towards the cold and classrooms and home are very snug. If you go out, you need to layer your clothes and if you do, then no problem, if you don't, you will die.

yes, as the previous poster said......
everywhere inside is warm...roasting heat....i mean you could actually teach inside with a t shirt on...its that warm

but once you head outside be sure to wrap up

and the good thing about the cold weather is that its a gradual thing...it slowly creeps up on you from late octoberr to the end of feb...etc...so you will get used to it
but it is a bit long!! i mean nearly 5 months of cold weather

as for part time work...lots
PM me if you want some numbers/email adresses
