I am coming to Taipei in the next 2 weeks and was wondering whatthe gyms are like in the area? Can anyone recommend a gym with good free weights? What is an average monthly membership fee and does anyone know where you can buy protein shakes?

There is a large gym not far from the main station in taipei. I think its either a califronia fitness centre of a branch of golds. You can miss it as you will see people working out through the window. Downstairs are as many free weights as you can want. They have a nutritition thing going as well. Dont know what the monthly fees are though.
