What's the prediction on when the big earthquake is suppose to hit Tokyo? They were talking about it when I first went there in '92. What was it.....every 60 or 70 years? Any comment?  |

The last big one was the Kanto earthquake in 1907 which killed about 30,000 people. If its 60 years its well overdue though there have been some big tremors lately.
I would figure you will get a Hanshin-style earthquake within the next 10 years but its more likely to be around Shizuoka area. You never can tell with these things. |

And to answer the other question, the next one could be tomorrow, or in 2050. |
