I was wondering how many people with Post-Grad Degrees in other fields and other careers have left their profession to take up teaching over seas?
If so try to answer the following questions?

((This is late addition, someone made a comment about BA degrees, I should have included them with the original post (Sorry). So please, if you have a Bachelors degree, please join the post, it would be great to hear from you!)).

1) Which degree (s)
2) Which career
3) Are you happier now and would you do it agian if given the chance?

Everone is welcomed to expand on these three questions

I'm a tad puzzled, as you ask for responses from people with "Post-Grad Degrees in other fields and other careers have left their profession". Are you looking for replies from people with a lowly bachelors?

1) B.Sc. in Computer Science.
2) Systems Analyst with a gov't organization for 13 years.
3) Yep, and yep.

1) Which degree? BA in Education, MA in TESOL (finished the MA shortly before moving abroad)

2) Which career? Teacher in my home country

3) Are you happier now and would you do it again if given the chance? Yes, I'm much happier now. If I'd been in a financial position to go to grad school and then make the move about 10 years sooner, I would have.

- BA Natural Resource Geography
- Forestry/Silviculture
- About the same. Love the overseas lifestyle, but don't find TEFLing as fullfilling or as important as what I previously did.
