Why do Turks turn umbrellas into lethal weapons.

I was poked twice in the face this morning by unlicensed umbrella users.

There should be a new law: Anyone shorter than dmb should not be allowed to use an umbrella.

speaking of umbrellas, when i told my students to keep working they told me of the turkish expression: you can't open an umbrella when it's up your ***.

it took a while for me to get the meaning....

This could turn into a rather naughty fill in the blank type activity.

I was attacked by a taxi door half an hour ago. Quite innocently walking along the pavement and Bang- I had no chance.

So are Turks born with no spatial awareness regarding people within a metre?

Yes, that's why they stop in doorways or stop suddenly on a crowded pavement.
It may also explain their inability to queue.
