Has anyone recently taken this course or know someone who has? I saw some info on other threads but were from a year ago.

I'm looking at going down there for the Jan. class and then on to explore the fascinating career of TEFL.

I've read on some other posts that starting off in Mexico might not be such a good idea. Is this true? I was born and raised for 18 years on the border of Mexico/Texas near Reynosa and understand quite a bit about the culture, language, and economics.

I'm a semester or two shy of a BA in English but took time off to work on a political campaign in D.C. and have since been working a job at the U.S. Department of Education.

I'd prefer to start in Mexico because I've always wanted to explore further south, Monterrey is as far as I've gone...(Other than Venezuela, but of course a different country)

Just thought I would introduce myself in my first post.
