check the feedback on AMIDEAST Morocco. It's a semi-government agency so their practices are pretty uniform across the board. |

I don't think from reading the inforon amideast morocco that it compares very well with tunisia. i liked my exeperience at amideast. the people are generally nice except for a few, but if you accept a position there you will figure out soon enough who they are. pay is generally good 15 tnd to start a few people get lore depending on your qualifications per teaching hour. housing is not the easiest to find. compared to other places I worked for the classes are fairly well organized.
if you want more info just ask.

Hi all,
I am also considering an interview with Amideast Tunisia and am wondering if anyone has any recent information/experience with them. Meppetkilgallon did you end up taking a job with them?
Thanks. |

Same boat here. Why don't they have a Maghreb section on this forum? |

I am interested in AMIDEAST Tunisia as well. I just received an email bundle from them. Has anyone who recently interviewed with them taken the job? From their handbook it seems as if housing is a bit difficult to procure. Also coming over on a tourist visa at first while they work on your work visa- any thoughts about this? I get the impression that a full schedule is not guaranteed & is dependent on student enrollment. This could potentially be (financially) difficult no? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
cheers,

Didn't J.Remy get transferred to the AMIDEAST Tunis office after his spell in Casablanca? I hope it worked out better for him there because he was a great teacher, and what happened was unfair. I only say this because J.Remy would be my first choice for Tunisia info. |

Nolefan, AMIDEAST is neither a goverment agency nor a semi-goverment agency. |
