No. Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages is the general term for both EFL and ESL. English as a Foreign Language is when English is taught in a country where English is NOT a native language. English as a Second Language is when English is taught in a country where people speak English as a native language.

Firstly, beware of online courses. NOTHING is better than contact with real students to practice on.
Secondly, as I mentioned, TESOL is the cover term for both EFL and ESL, so it depends on where you will be teaching. IF you will ONLY be teaching overseas, do an EFL certificate, but if you want to be able to go to an English-speaking country and teach, get the TESOL certificate. |

Sandy is correct, but in practice the various terms are often used interchangeably. e.g. people will often talk about teaching ESL in Taiwan even though the EFL is the technically correct term to use. Don't get too hung up on the exact term that is used to describe a course or certificate. Look at what the course teaches and how relevant it is to what you want to do. |
