I am an experienced math teacher (from US) looking to teach English in Chile. I have no type of certification, but experience at the college and high school level, although not in English.
If this is possible, can anyone recommend a particular school that i might contact? Any and all replies are very helpful. Thanks.

hello pete
as you probably know from this forum, it is not too difficult to find a job teaching english. there are always private students and then there are the institutes. you should try burford, i've heard they were hiring and comunicorp needed people recently, diane is really nice. but as far as getting a contract, well, i don't seem to be able to. but that's because i am looking for a job at the university and not an institute and the semester has already started. so maybe you will be able to get one somewhere else, i know for sure that both burford and comunicorp offer contracts.
hope this helps |
