No, nothing to do with the illuminati.

5YTL

I've been slogging my guts out all day, carrying boxes and bags up a bloody big hill. Enough for today. I'm knackered and can't be arsed to go up the hill again to the bank.
I've just realised that I only have 5 lira on me. I'm hungry and thirsty so what's the best value for 5 lira. Theres is a typical bakal downstairs.

So for 5 lira I got an ekmek( whole one) filled with cheese, salami, tomato, cucumber and american salad slighty toasted and a litre bottle of Skol.(it's thirsty work)

So who can better that, what can you get for 5 lira in your bakal?
(my choices are limited because the Gas to cooker got cut off a couple of days ago-responsible or what? making sure no bills left unpaid)

Sorry, DMB, I'm not much of a bakkal food shopper. 5 mil and a day like yours? I'd go for a pack of smokes, some salam or whatever meze they might have lying around, maybe a piece of fruit and a beer. And since the stove is out, I'd beg some hot water to go with my Nescafe, in which case they'd invite me to come and sit for a coffee, and they may give some of the meze for free. I've been known to be a shameless beggar. But their kid borrows our DVD's and my husband's Playstation games, so I guess it's okay.

But I only said that to keep appearances of being on topic. What I really want to know is what happened to the thread about women coming to Turkey for the men? Everyone was saying nice things about their spouses and mine proved to be ever-the-champ on my sick day yesterday.

Ok. I'll bite. But my answer isn't just about a bakkal-

Menu A:Chicken doner + ayran from small restaurant downstairs
1 beer from bakal
1 gfret from bufe
(it's three stops but all very near)

Menu B(adult menu): forget the beer- get chicken, soup, pilav and veggies from other restaurant

Menu C(diet menu): 2 fıı beers and bag of ruffles

Menu D(alcoholic's menu): find 75 kuruş in sofa, add to 5ytl, get bottle of Tellibağ white from Şok.

Ah, indeed it is. Think I skipped it thinking it was the applicators discussion.

Sorry for the topic change then. Nice way to stretch 5YTL, Tekirdağ.... Smile
