Hello all,

I'm new and excited about embarking on this path. The certification course I've signed up for is through TEFL International - www.teflcourse.net - and I was wondering if anyone here has recieved their certification through them?

I just want to make sure they're a legitimate course provider since this is all still unfamiliar territory to me.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated Smile

-Liz

Welcome to the forum, Liz!
Ordinarily I would sugget doing a search for the school on these boards, but in this case you'll probably find an awful lot of Guy Courchesne's posts, answering both newbies and teacher trainers on a wide variety of topics. Guy works in Mexico City for TEFL International. (or maybe not. Ooops! Embarassed) I can't speak from working experience, but I know he's been extremely helpful to a lot of people on these boards, including me. I'd be encouraged by this fact alone, but hopefully some alumn will find your post and answer more thoroughly.

Whoops! No, I don't work for TEFL International. I work for Teachers International, in the Latin Amerca section.

Unless of course, ahem, someone from TEFL Intl wants to offer me a job! Laughing

Thanks for responding guys Smile

I'm set to take the TEFL International course in Rome. Hopefully it's not a scam and I'll be able to find a job in Budapest.

Anyone here in Eastern Europe?
