STAY AWAY

If you are contemplating signing up with this farce of an organization you really should think twice. Teachers are scrambling to get out from under this contract, even the coordinators who are encouraging staff to 'roll with the punches' and who are on the other hand, sending out their CV's to all who'll take them.

CERT is run like a god damn sycophantic schizophrenic yes sir, yes sir outfit ( P.Q. and B.K. and B.R) with all the coordinator monkeys as Bobo The Circus Chimp calls them, bowing and Kowtowing to the shieks. I warned of this situation previously if you care to look and things are going to implode pretty soon.

CERT won't be able to handle it and the teachers are, as we speak, flocking to Qatar and other outfits in the UAE, as they see their salaries and benefits being taken away. What's next Cert let me see.. No cash in lieu of tickets now?oh, ok... No taking leave in the first year of the contract? uhhmm.... No 15% increase???... No, not that.....don't .. take.. away my last shred of dignity... I beg you...

STAY AWAY FROM CERT: FROM ONE WHO KNOWS...

HolyMolY is Out....

Bindair scratches his head, looks again at the CERT "contract" sitting on his desk, and thinks, "Let's see... less money, less stability, more headaches, should I go for it? After all, I was stupid enough to bite at the MLI hook last year."

It was mentioned at some early meetings between HCT/CERT and MLI that MLI would become a "training showpiece" in the Gulf Region.
If so, then what is currently happening?
Why haven't some teachers been paid?
Why haven't former teachers received their correct settlements and proper entitlements that were guaranteed at these early meetings?
Why is it taking so long for former teachers to get their correct settlements (up to one year!) Isn't there someone who can work with GHQ on these matters to expedite them?
Why are some Co-ordinators currently suggesting to teachers to seek alternate employment?
Would the real Uncle Billy please stand up and address these issues?

(*ahem*)

"As we attempt to tie the ends together in the coming days, it is imperative that we work as a team and help each other out. Coordinators are running around trying to insure you have all you need for Saturday. Please make any suggestions you believe would be helpful to us."

So, ah, anything new, Uncle Billy? That MLI that you said would continue to exist -- how's it doing?

Everything ship-shape?

When I did time there at the MLI, I always felt my fellow teachers were top drawer, some of the best in the world (OK. some wackos, but generally the best).
I just felt it was a shame, a pity and tradgic that no one in authority ever recognised this.

Agree 100%. There were some wonderfully conscientious, competent, and hard-working people there. The old-timers seemed to have created a culture that encouraged taking initiative and welcoming responsibility. My hat is off and will remain off for a long time to EM, SD'E, PN, TM, and others. They are good, good men.

What the hell is "CERT University"? I have never heard of such a place. What do the MLIars think of this move? What is going on there? Since I no longer work there I am out of the loop. I have heard that it is or has been disbanded. Is this true? Can it be? What do the teachers at "CERT U" think of there new boss? Will it be run into the ground in a year? Many questions to be answered; sort of makes you feel like you still work at the MLI--- Many Questions-No Answers!

Uncle Billy seems to be a little confused these days -- as he is on all days. He thinks he's working for "CERT University", whatever that is, yet he also thinks he's managing the MLI, whatever that is. Of this, however, he is sure: His coordinators are wonderful and he is firmly in control.

We knew it all along.

So if Uncle Billy has this new gig over at "Cert U", then have new positions also been created for those "wonderful and totally professional" Co-ordinators?
