okay, i am finishing up my year-long job here (in wakayama) and i was wanting to go to tokyo next. my job ends october 1st, and my working visa expires the 13th, which doesnt leave me too much time to find a new sponsor. in the case that i dont, what is the procedure for changing from a working visa back into a tourist visa? initially i changed from tourist to working with no problem (ie, not having to leave the counrty).. is it as easy the other way around? (sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere, but after a long time of searching, i was not able to find any information)
also, is october a good time to be looking for a job in tokyo?
i already have a place to stay for a decent price.. but i am a little worried about spending all the money that i was able to save while looking for work. any advice/information would be much appreciated.
thanks,
kyle |

| well, i dont know if nobody knew the answer to my question regarding a visa, or if it has been brought up before... but for anyone who wants to know, Japanese Immigration may grant an extended visa for looking for work. They gave me three months, but I guess I didnt need it, as I got a job the first week in tokyo! *woohoo* |
