Hello,

I am a Canadian with an EU passport as well as a teachers degree and two years experience in Asia teaching ESL. I am coming over in February and am wondering whether it will be easier to find a job with a TEFL course or will schools look at my teachers degree as an equivalent(or hopefully something better than a TEFL course) Thank you for any information!

I'm sure that with a teaching degree plus 2 years TEFL experience you'll be laughing.

Less well-known schools, e.g. locally-based only, will be more inclined to accept the credentials you have. More famous schools, the type which typically have offices in many countries, such as International House, Bell, British Council will ask for a CELTA or Trinity Cert.

Having said that, I do know a guy who worked for Wall Street Institute and they were not strict with him in practice. You should find work with what you have, though it might not pay quite so well as with more well-established schools.
