I have just discovered that I can retain what few marbles I have left. ADSL - that is fast internet -has mae it possible to listen to BBC Radio online. I have just had 'Northanger Abbey' and 'Beyond Our Ken'. I feel almost sane !

Is this the answer to the epidemic of mad EFL instructors in the ME ?

I asked a similar question to a friend of mine in the ICT department .... I asked him what does DSL stands for? He answered me by saying : In Saudi Arabia .....it stands for....doesn't seem likely Laughing

But on the serious side of matters, here is a good link that will explain what ADSL is (and of-course what does it stand for)

If you've got a fast connection, tnen somebody else must be paying!

The standard line, which comes to around SR250 with the ISP and STC charges is 64kb up and down stream. It's cheaper tnan dialup and nice to have a fixed bill every month, but even so!

Hi

Does anybody know if a modem from the UK, an ADSL modem bought from, say Dixons, will work here in the Kingdom?

Thanks
