Hello again everyone...I hope you all are in the best spirits! I just found out that my crappy US health insurance expiries soon and is non-renewable. I need health care for myself only and basically to cover birth control pills (and the occassional sinus infection), or at least allow them as an option. I have a supply until March 2006, but I'm not looking forward to having kiddies after then. Any info on *positive*experiences with health insurance abroad? Any info will greatly help. Thanks a bunch!!!! |

I have had private travlers' insurance and private Japanese insurance (required by my university) while living in Japan. Neither one will cover birth control. This didn't shock me much as most companies in America make you pay anyhow. The other medication should be covered though. You'll only pay about 30% of the cost.
Do you have a doctor here yet? You'll need one to get a new perscription. I can make some reccomendations if you're in Tokyo. Also visit the girls as www.being-a-broad.com for more advice on the subject. |
