What would be some of the "essential" phrases a traveller would need to know in your countries?
A couple from Rome:
(to express exasperation):
"porca miseria" (dirty sadness)
"porca puttana" (dirty hoor)
"che kazzino" (what a mess)
"va fan cu..." (get stuffed)
I hear all these on a more or less daily basis working in an Italian company... |

In China:
Wo kao! - WTF!
Shenjingbing ah! - You're nuts!
Bu Zhidao (or in Beijing: Brr Zhrrdrrr) - I dunno
Momentei (Cantonese) / meiwenti (Mandarin) - no problem.
Bu yao jin - Don't worry about it.
Lei zhe ngaang ho gui sei leng ah (Cantonese) / Nide yanjing hao piaoliang ah (Mandarin) - You have very beautiful eyes. |
