I was wondering if there are any job board type websites for teachers to find private students for either local (face-to-face) or online teaching? I've poked around and haven't found anything. Am I missing something obvious, or does it just not exist? |

I've been swamped with local face to face 'private student' requests simply from being 'the strange face in town' who's willing to stop & chat, & even better, from referrals from existing students. So much so, that I'm now turning people away because I need those last 8 hours in a day to sleep, & must have one day that I don't work so I can play in Dave's ESL Cafe! |

This morning while I was eating some breakfast in a restaurant, one of the waitresses started chatting with me in Spanish. When she found out that I was an English instructor, she asked if I teach private lessons. I had to say 'no'; I put in more than enough hours at the office. I could always use more money but not at the expense of any more of my personal time. |
