Hello everybody. We are a married couple living in Korea and hoping to go to Jagiellionian University in Krakow for our masters next fall. Needless to say, from all we hear about Poland in general and Krakow in particular we are really excited.
Is anybody familiar with the university program? I've spoken with the staff a few times and they've been very quick to respond to my questions and (unlike Koreans!) have been quite helpful. The university housing for couples looks to be about US $200 per month. What kind of housing is available for rent in Krakow? Odviously, a two room apartment wuold be ideal, my wife and I are living in a studio and are looking to expand our boundaries. How much should rent and utilities be around the university area?
Another question about Poland that we have is about child rearing. We're planning on having our first (well, hopefully first) child within our first year there. How is Polish healthcare? Does anybody know how the cost, doctor's reputation, what the best hospital in Krakow is? |
