Was watching the news to see that four tropical storms are dumping rain on Mexico right now, north, south, east, and west. Just not in DF. Getting wet out there?

Huatulco has been getting heavy rain off and on for about 15 hours now. My apartment flooded a bit last night during a couple of heavy downpours. It's wet, but that's not too unusual for this time of year.

We have had rain for the last three days. Pretty typical for this time of year. A tropical storm just went through.

Wet here, too. Usually we get almost daily afternoon/evening downpours at this time of the year anyway. With all these tropical storms playing around in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico lately, we've been getting lots more rain than usual for the past several days. I think Stan was the most recent one . . . pronounced Estm locally.

Wet here too. A few low lying areas are getting flooded, but I'm lucky to be in a third floor apartment in the higher end of town. Stan is headed directly this way so all classes have been cancelled for a few days.

It's wonderfully wet and cool here. Eveyone is in a good mood, and it's funny to see people wearing sweaters, now that it's dropped to around 80 Farenheight. Even I am wearing long pants, something that happens maybe four times a year.

Ok, I must have jinxed it because it's been pissing all day in DF now.

Dragonlady,

Roof repairs, water running in under the doors, damp clothes and bedding, etc. -- sounds just like my house. With the wet weather, the resident cats spend a lot more time indoors. Always underfoot but at least they keep the big hairy spiders and large black scorpions out. The little brown scorpions get by them sometimes, however. If you need any mosquitoes down your way, let me know. We have an ample supply, which I'd be happy to share with you. Lots of extra ants, too. We're on our fourth or fifth day of mostly rain. I'm ready to see sunshine again.

I already know, so nobody needs to remind me: Would I like some cheese with that whine? Smile

The last two days we've had solid steady light rains (there is a mountain range between us and either coast), which is not really typical here. I need a heavy down pour to test the repairs on my house... Mad

Here also. Maybe my apartment will finally get a chance to dry out.

Saw the news yesterday, with video of Chiapan and Oaxacan villages near the coast. My god, talk about water! Makes New Orleans look dry.
