In my previous post asking for a salary range I was vague as to supplying info.
That was my first time using the forum, so I will supply added info.
It's a private institution, teaching boys from 7yrs. up.
It will be my first job overseas, I have almost a year teaching experience.
Right now I am helping teach Yemeni lernrers in Detroit.
The manager of the school in KSA hasn't talked too much of benefits,
but I said I expected airfare and living accomodations.
Thank you for your kindness in replying. What is a range of salary
and benefits? I am negotiating with him at the moment.

Presuming you have a degree and a teaching qualification in your home country, hold out for a salary of around SR8,500 and three months housing allowance; be prepared to settle for about a thousand less salary and two months housing though, as long as there is a furniture allowance. They may offer you accommodation instead of a housing allowance.
Expect standard school vacations of two to two-and-a-half months at summer and Hajj, Ramadan, and half-term. |
