| Hi! I received an offer from Tanghu Middle School (THMS) and was wondering if anyone had ever worked there or heard anything about it. Also, is 3000 RMB for 16-18 hours a week a good salary? |

Wow. I can't believe I missed this one. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.
My wife and I have been negotiating with Tanghu for about a month now and are also seriously considering going there. We've gotten a lot of information about the school and would be happy to share. We also have some very important questions for you. Please email me ASAP!

I worked at Tanghu Middle school last summer for their Camp China program.
My experience there was mostly positive. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you are still looking for information about this school. The one person to be somewhat wary of, is the director, Stanley Chen -- he has a special way with words and promises -- where he tries to manipulate you. Stand up to him, and he cowers like a girl.

I had had some talks with the FAO there, and I got away with a very pleasant impression.
3000 is not high, but in Sichuan it carries far. |
