| I am applying to teach in china from next Feb, and am soon going to have to state a preferance for where I would like to live. I have decided that a large city has the most appeal for me, and have narrowed myself down to Beijing and Shanghai. Anyone got any insider advice or information to help me with my choice??!! |

There aremany large cities in China. Do some research before deciding. Both these places have their attractions but are heavily polluted with appalling traffic. They're also the most expensive.

| As far as I know, Beijing is cheaper but Shanghai is more modern. Personally if I went back to China, I'd go for Shanghai. It's not that polluted (not compared to other Chinese cities)! |
