How do you cope with working in the Holy Month ? I become a hermit - going out to teach and then retreating to my cell where I listen to the radio and read.

It seems to me the driving is even more manic in this month.

I actually quite like Ramadhan - shorter working hours and a generally (even more) relaxed environment. True, it can be a hassle shopping and getting 'stuff' done, but all in all it's quite a nice time.

Not to music, I hope???? BTW I had a giggle when I was flicking through my "Orbit satellite channels a few evenings ago. Seems the "Fashion Channel" has been made unavailable during Ramadhan. Shame that.

Such as John Craven?

Ramadhan is great!

I remember going to Bahrain once during Ramadhan. Just for fun, I ordered a bacon sandwich and a beer from room service during fasting hours - Only one beer? I was asked.

The same hotel had Happy Hour - Mughreb till Midnight - a great favourite with the Saudi youth.
