I was looking for the thread about loony co-workers and gave up so I have posted this because I have to tell someone about it. If anyone else would like to share similar tales, please do.
Our school occasionally hosts foreign exchange students, and without much success I might add. The student is placed in the second year student's International Course homeroom, my class. Seems that no one in our class would speak to the new student from France and she moved to a 3rd year class where she is getting along fine. While discussing where she might go when her current class ends the JTE mentioned that she probably wouldn't want to return to her previous class because she was bullied there. He went as far as to name a student and what he alledges she said. Something about, "Go back to France"! I was shocked to hear this from her because allthough she wasn't made to feel welcome in the class, no one ever said such a horrible thing.
It amazes me that this teacher could be so insensitive. This also happens to be the same teacher I endured working with all last year and dropped me in it with the principal a couple weeks ago.
Sorry about the rant but I feel better having gotten this off my chest.
Enjoy yourselves,
