depends where you live.
I like my gym (although the free weights suck)
It has an indoor pool, lots of cardio stuff, and a decent work out room for 68 pesos a month ... but it could be far from you.

Proximity is always important

150 pesos?????

I pay 90 pesos for my Megatlon "platinum" membership, and that allows me almost everything! Indoor pool, spinning, indoor cycling, all the cardio thing, weights, etc...

Unless you sign up for months on end and often only with an argentine debit card/direct debit from an argentine bank account you have to pay the monthly charge.

At my gym, Sports Club in Congreso (there are a few around the city), there's a big pool, good weights, good CV equipment and, most importantly, a biiiiiiiig sun deck. If you pay monthly with a direct debit from your bank account it costs 55 pesos a month, if you pay in cash month on month it costs around 120 pesos. There's a minimum of 4 months i think.

If you're planning on staying awhile then get a bank account and sign up to a direct debit.

As for the lack of cross trainers-it's strange. In england it's the machine that is always being used and there's always a queue to use it. Same in Chile. Here, it seems that almost no one ever uses it. Which is fine by me...
