hey everyone... i've seen a few postings a while ago to this effect, but i'm putting in my two cents as well, as i don't see any postings now.
don't work for MILLENNIUM SERVICE. they're a recruitment service who will put you at some random job in poland. they're a nightmare. they promise visas but don't get them for anyone (even though they take money from you for this purpose). they still haven't paid me for my final month of work plus promised $150 USD for travel. that was work i did in MAY - but they assure me that i will be paid. ha. they often don't pay teachers and make empty promises.
(apparently there are even warnings against them posted at the embassies? some rumor i heard...)
you've been warned!!!
best of luck - i did have fun in poland DESPITE the hundreds of phone calls i made to millennium asking for my salary, visa, etc. |

I agree wholeheartedly and desire with all my being that this poor excuse for a company and especially its manager (Arek, a poor excuse for a person) to be disposed of, and intend to do what I can do bring about this ends.
On top of numerous lies, many the same as the same posting, I was left stranded in Poland as a result of him without a flat, paycheck, food etc. and have only refrained from posting thusfar because the crooked *beep* had promised to pay me 2 months late a small portion of the money I was owed. He, of course did not, and now I wish to unleash everything in my arsenal.
Please, if you have any dealings with this company put your two cents in everywhere you can, because it would be better I believe to have never worked in Poland than to have worked for such a low life.
I know you're reading this Arek, and I tell you personally I wish for you to be put through the hell that you put others through in your despicable endeavors. |

Have any of you made official complaints? Either to your own embassies or to the Polish business organisations? Might be worth writing a long and detailed account, and publishing it EVERYWHERE...
Schools like this deserve to go down. |

I've just been contacted by Arek about work in Wroclaw. He says he'll get back to me once he's been in contact with his contacts. Surely once he does that and gives me the name of the school I could just contact them and arrange a job directly with them and cutting out dodgy Arek? |

My story........
After arriving at the airport i was told all of a sudden i was
going to Plock and not Lodz as originally planned. When we arrived
in Plock, he broke the contract twice by neither setting me up with
a phone nor a bank account.
On my first day in the school in Plock (Centrum Educaji Plock), my
manager asked me did i have any experience, when i replied no, she
began to get angry, she then explained Arek told her that i had
experience.
I was promised two days induction also, but was instead put into a
classroom without any preparation on my first morning there.
The school had me working at all hours of the day and night, 7 in
the morning till 10 at night, which i didnt really mind as i
enjoyed the work, and i was told that this was common.
Yet, when i was told at the start of my second week there that my
wages were going to be delayed for some reason, i decided to do
some research. I discovered from speaking to other teachers and
students that i was the third native speaker there in 3months (my
two predecessors were from England), my manager Ewelinne Frankie or
Arek never told me this. I then decided to Google Areks name and
then discovered loads and loads of bad reports, a shocking amount,
on a number of different websites.
When i mentioned this to Ewelline Frankie at the school, she got
nasty, and told me that i had signed a contract and that she would
have to call the police if i tried to leave. she then contacted
Arek, who sent me a threatening text message telling me i was a
"long way from home" and that i "didnt know what i was doing". He
immediatly emailed itoi (before i could) who had set me up out
there, saying i wasnt going to work, was causing trouble etc. They then sent me an email
asking me to explain myself. When i replied to the email with links
to the pages with the complaints about Arek and a full explaination
of what the real situation was, itoi never replied. I have chased
this up since, but they still havent replied and Arek still hasnt
given me any money.
The next two days after this the school continued threatening me,
saying they would take legal action etc. I realised from looking at
the contract they didnt have a leg to stand on but they said they
had "another" contract with Arek. I then told them i was going home
so they would stop harassing me, but I decided to look for work in
the city. As it was the start of December, it was impossible to
find work there (only 2 other schools), i was offered a job for after christmas but i
declined, and decided to return home after all, having had enough
of Poland.
A long story i know, but i think its a good idea to tell it just encase any of you think that scumbag Arek has changed.
My advice for any of you going to Poland is to avoid Arek Kurowski and Mellenium (or whatever he calls it)
and avoid Centrum Edukacji Orlen in Plock and that scaming bitch Ewelinne Frankie , one is as bad as the other.
p.s. I know a guy who still teaches in Plock, i got an email from him a few weeks ago and he told me the school is still using Arek |

i have posted my story above on other forums. I advise the rest of you do the same, the more people who are made aware the better. And also the name of the schools you worked in who deal with Arek. |

Interesting... I had a similar threat of police/ legal action if I quit my job.
I am curious - does anybody know the labour laws in Poland? Surely you can quit a job without fear of legal reprecussions... What is the worst case scenario? |

You might consider changing your name from Jetset to Babeinthewoods.
The worst case scenario is that you won't have that job. What do you think school owners do? Sue poor TEFL teachers who live from paycheck to paycheck for breach of contract? |
