My wife is from DF and is a naturalized U.S. citizen. We're moving back to DF once our house sells and I was wondering if anyone here knows if there is a time limit on how long a naturalized U.S. citizen can stay outside of the U.S. or if it's the same foe me which is as long as I want.
Thanks again to all. Someday I hope to make a contribution here once I have lived in DF for a while.

One of my co-workers is a naturalized U.S. citizen from Cuba. She's been living here in this city for about 30 years and occasionally goes to the States to visit relatives there, maybe once every couple of years. She recently got dual citizenship (Mexico/U.S.) and gave up her Cuban citizenship in the process. |

Why not contact the US Embassy and ask
http://www.usembassy-mexico.gov
I believe naturalized citizens have the same rights as born citizens. But I know that green card holders (premenate residents) do have a limit on how long they can be out of the US, and once saw someone having problems at the airport when trying to come back in after being away a long time. This person was the wife of a born citizen and they had children with them, I don't know how it turned out because I obviously didn't want to get invovled. |
