A student this morning asked me what other words there were for drunk.

hammered
plastered
wasted

C**ted

Anyone care to add any more.

Also which region are they from. My examples are common ın Edinburgh.

My mother says "polluted," and I've started using it myself, to quite good effect, actually. I also say "a few/several drinks down" but I think I made that up.

gone to the wibbly place (nb: this one is not my idea. Someone came up with it to describe their own condition)

Scot47, outside of my conservative co-workers and a few family members who are periodically on the wagon, you may be the only person I know who's sober.
