So where are all you pioneers off to for the Eid vacation ? After pretending to teach my charges through two and a half weeks of Ramadan I am thoroughly tired of all of them !
Why do the authorities insist on the masquerade of classes in Ramadan ? I dare say there is some Hadith that says that business should be as usiual duriung this blessed month. The sensible thing would be to have a vacation for the whole month !
I pine for the fleshpots of Europe ! |

I thought it was all over. Here in England today, a muslim colleague was drinking coffee! I just hope he feels guilty.
When's it over? |

Last day of Ramadan shpould be 2 November. It depends on the siting of the moon.
Traditionalists still oppose using astronomical data to poredict the end of the lunar month. Te moon has to be spotted by a 'sane muslim with the naked eye'. |
