I am keen to find out as much as I can about the application process for the NET scheme. I understand one or two interviews are involved, and some sort of test. Can anyone tell me what is the focus of the interviews - your knowledge of English teaching or is it more about the applicant as a person? Any information on the nature of the test?

Interviews seem to focus on teaching reading(primary NETs), getting on with local colleagues, ability to deliver professional development, teaching poetry or choral speaking, teaching in general.
Written 'test': You are asked to plan a lesson/english activity day/etc. Very practical in focus.
