I have an acquantance in France who is interested in teaching French in Japan. Anybody know of any relevant schools or resources I can recommend? Also, information of visas for French citizens would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Try the NOVA website or Berlitz or ECC. Some of NOVA's website is in French.
NOVA's website is http://www.teachinjapan.com
A degree (or baccalaureate, in French) is needed to obtain a full time sponsored work visa. French nationals can also get a 6 month working holiday visa if they dont have a degree. |

On a bit of a tangent here, perhaps, but the other day on NHK news they talked about a "boom" in foreign languages other than English. Apparently more and more secondary schools are adopting a new foreign language to teach. The most popular are Chinese and Korean, but your friend might want to look into schools offering French. |

Hi Birdog,
There's a place in Shinjuku, Tokyo called Dean Morgan Academy which gives French lessons. It's a fairly small place but it's worth a shot. I'll see if I can find their web address. |
