Hi guys,

I'm coming to Taiwan next summer in search of a job. I'll have a decent amount of cash (at least $2000) and intend to rent a nice place for my stay there.

My ideal place would be bikeable/scooterable from a beach which would let me do some scuba/snorkling/surfing and a train journey away from a few fun clubs.

Got no ideas on where a place like that would exsist in Taiwan, was hoping on some guidance.

Also how much would a 2 bedroom apt. set me back?

Hello B,

I don't know very much about beaches or clubs, but it sounds like you might want to consider Kaohsiung or Ping-tung (which is much smaller).

Rent is fairly cheap here--if you have a local connection. Expect to spend well under US$300 per month for basic rent.
