There is some bad info on this site that was posted in 2003 by a woman that came to school at 7AM with liquor on her breath. All teachers pay with blood, sweat and tears. If it was easy it would be called a picnic not chamba. |

My message is written in plain English. If you search by my schools name on Yahoo, the cafes site comes up with a warning to never teach here. I just want everyone to know the source of the warning is a drunk. |

Your message wasn't clear at all, at least to me. Another one of your posts was fuzzy too, so maybe I just had a fuzzy day. Do people really search back 2 and 3 years in the archives? Out of curiousity, when you say "my school" do you own it or are you a teacher there and know the person you are accusing? |

I just put in the schools name and pushed the search key. I dont personally know the person, but the note that comes up with this site is hurting our ability to recruit. |

And, cwc, your answer to Samantha's question would be . . . ? |

Thanks Tim. No I am just a teacher. I put my school because I have always felt a propreitary interest in my workplace. I defend the wording. I have heard it used that way for over forty years.

OK, we will take your word for it.
You might want to consider losing the "Gipsy" part of the name. Although the spelling is different, it makes it sound like a roving pack of Romanians selling English classes. |

Theg followed by a vowel is usually the /g/ or hard g. The phoneme you are referring to is the /dj/ . There are always exceptions . I would say this phonology is correct 90% of the time. If you do a search you will find several schools with this name. I am ignorant as to the origin. It may not be too wise to change the name. We are # 1 in the state and # 34 in the Republic according to the national exam for graduates. En buena onda thanks for the interest. |
