What do you do at the weekends in the big city? Gorge on beef then Tango til dawn? Roll around town practising your piropos? Or hunch over a PC and type nosey questions into ESL cafe?

Just looking for a general idea of what teachers get up to away from the textbooks...

On BsAs nightlife:
Lonely Planet: 'Live it up or cool it down in this hip-shakin' town.'
Rough Guide: '(BsAs) boasts a frenzied night life.'
This forum: Confused (nothing)

OK, I'll give you all the benefit of the doubt and assume you're all too busy with your frenzied hip-shakin' to answer dumb forum questions. Wink

over the weekend...
bars for drinking, pool, and chilling
clubs for dancing, drinking
apartment for chatting with friends, maybe some drinking
movies
wandering the streets of buenos aires
lesson planning
hip shakin' graduate school applications

wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo!!!

there is a lot to do here... some things more exciting or expensive than others... there's also tango lessons, salsa lessons, asados, little road trips, etc. you'll probably be able to find somethings you enjoy...

On weekends I like going to PLAZA SERRANO , its in Palermo SOHO...you have 8 bars...where you can drink something, get together with friends...talk...

Going to the movies with friends is also fun, CINEMARK in Palermo is my favorite (Beruti y Bulnes).

At night you can go to Plaza Serrano, or if you want to dance, you can go to NICETO.......I just dont like that it got expensive now, like AR$20 !!. (girls is $ 15 I think).

There is this bar also that I like , the name is LOMO , in Palermo SOHO too...para tomar el te (merienda) "tea time"?...you can have tostadas con mate, dulce de leche...at the terrace...its nice !!!!...

During the day is also nice to walk around Puerto Madero...not much to do...but its cool.

To sunbathe (tomar sol) you can always go to PLAZA LAS HERAS (cnel. diaz y Las Heras).

chau.
