|
|
Hello All!
I've been looking through all the different forums for ESL in Asia and I have a question about the attitudes of learners in different countries within Asia.
Are there any significant differences across the various regions as to a student's enthusiasm or motivation for learning english? For example are students from a particular country more likely to learn for personal reasons of furthering their skills and opportunities whilst students from another learn because it's the expected thing to do?
Also are their some student nationalities that are more inclined to ask questions and speak out in class than others?
If there are such differences, do people think that this is down to a cultural tendency or the situation of the country or the schooling environment?
Your opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

Much depends on the energy, sensitivity, & skill of the teacher. |
