I've got an interview for a job in Santiago soon, and according to the advert I replied to it pays US$1500 a month. Is this good in Santiago? It's more than I was earning in Spain, but I get the impression that prices in Santiago are comparable. It's also 4 times the amount i've been offered for a job in Ecuador!
Any advice appreciated! I've applied for jobs in about 10 different countries and I just can't decide where to go!

$1500 us in Santiago is very good money. It almost sounds to be too much. Is this with a uni or language school?

it's a language school, but I think it's affiliated to a university as well. It looks like a big school and i'm being interviewed in London and they'll pay my flight if they offer me the job. I'm a bit put off by all the negative comments about Santiago on this forum though.

Earning that much, you can afford to ignore warnings. Spend the extra income and hit Valparaiso every weekend.

Do you mean the job at the British Institute? It is a good wage for Santiago, but be expected to work a 35-hour week and don't expect any time off until the end of December. Saying that it is a good school with several branches all over Santiago.

I have been looking (I am guessing not in the right places), but is the school you are looking at still hiring? It sounds great to me compared to what I have been seeing in other countries. I have one year of experience and I do't have a TEFL degree. Is it possible to get a job that pays that much? Anyone with any suggestions?
