Hi bNix:
Still my all-time favourite: 'competitive local salary' Yeah, right.
And for those among us who might not know what an oxymoron is:
oxymoron: (plural "oxymora" or the less preferred "oxymorons") is a short phrase (or, on rare occasions, a single word) that is in common use though it appears self-contradictory. Such a phrase can be used for humour, wit or ironic effect in speech or writing.
above definition courtesy of: http://www.onelook.com
And here's the etymology, cuz I've got nothing better to do at the moment:
oxymoron - 1657, from Greek. oxymoron, noun use of neuter form of oxymoros (adj.) "pointedly foolish," from oxys "sharp" + moros "stupid." Rhetorical figure by which contradictory terms are conjoined so as to give point to the statement or expression. Now often used loosely to mean "contradiction in terms."

Dear M,
What's this? Why my stars and garters - it looks a lot like " expert political commentary ". Naw, can't be.
