I have a Single Entry China visa, I hold a Canadian Passport, I have 1 stamp on it for HK for 90 days, Can i go to Shenzhen for a day then return to hong kong and get another stamp for another 90 days?
the website http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4.htm
is saying 180 days, when returning to Hong Kong I should be okay to re-enter with another 90 days?
Are they going to ask me how much money I have and more details then the first time entering hong kong?
Please respond asap
Thank You! |

Why don't you apply for a one-year (12 months) multi-entry F visa? You can buy one from China Star Travel (HK) Limited. You need to have a company or school on the mainland to give you their name, address and telephone number and write it on your application. The price of such a visa is HK$1,300. I use mine for my weekly Chinese tutorials in Shenzhen. |

Do you have Hk ID or are you just travelling?
HK immigration doesn't usually ask too many questions when you enter but I suppose they might if you keep coming in and out. |

I've treavelled to HK and Mainland China last year.
As a Canadian, you have an OPEN VISA for 30 days for the Mainland !!!
You also have an open visa for 6 monhs!!! for Korea.
It pays to be Canadian. |

Let me see: the answers you have harvested so far haven't really been to the point, have they?
If I understand you well, you are living in HONG KONG as a TOURIST on a 90 day stamp - not a visa, just an entry stamp which clarifies that you have no right to work in HK and must leave within the period stamped in your passport.
You hold a MAINLAND VISA - the purpose of which eludes us all and is a mystery since you are planning on using it to re-enter HK from SHENZHEN, for another 90 days.
You DO NOT SEEM TO BE INTENDING TO STAY IN SHENZHEN.
I am not querying you over your motive for returning to HK but clearly, you are holding back with some info, aren't you?
You are afraid HK Immigration might ask you to produce evidence or proof that you can support yourself.
I have encouraging news: so far, hardly any Westerner has ever had to explain his or her material situation to HK Immigration - but natives from SE countries have had to do so! This may rightly be construed to constitute some form of discrimination, but the rationale is easy to understand; likewise the official at the border that's going to inspect your passport might ask you some questions that could cause you some discomfort! Then again, he or she might not ask you!
Be assured, though, if they do ask you such questions you stand very little chance of wriggling out of their iron grip! They can detain you and investigate you! IF the investigating service is satisfied that you have no bona fide tourist status they can deport you and stamp "NOt allowed to land in HK" in your passport! |
