when you renew your working visa, do you need any special papers when you go to the office?? or is your passport and new contract good enough to get a renewal on your visa??

Immigration will probably want to check out your employer, new or otherwise, so the contract itself may not be enough. However, let immigration handle it once you've brought in your stuff. You'll have to pay for that nasty little stamp again (about 4000 yen) on the second trip to get renewed.

And of course passport, Alien reg. card, and extention form(pick up at the immigration office and fill out there)

I have down this several times and never had a problem.
