Yesterday ( 10-11-2005 ) Dave's ESL Cafe was off line. For the first time in ages I had to find other ways to fill in the dead time at school.
It was so hard to do.
What did the rest of you do with your free time. |

It was a dark, dark day for justme. I had long and interesting conversations with my office mates. Turns out these people have a lot to say, and are founts of intriguing and arcane knowldge. Who'd a thunk?
Also, yesterday was the first time in my life students wouldn't sit still for the Ataturk minute of silence. I tried a few times to enforce it, but they wouldn't have it--they were much too busy gibbering. Some greater change afoot? Or lack of Dave's? |

| I remember it once went off for 4/5 days. When it came back on line it was so slow. I believe it still holds the record for most users ever on line at the same time. |
