| Hi, I have a little insurance problem. I am from Australia and before I came back to Japan for my second stint I took out 1year travel insurance (because i was not going to pay the japanese national insurance prices). Anyway, now my year is nearly up and I can`t renew my policy, and all insurance companies I have looked into in Australia won`t let me take out a policy if I am not in Australia to start. Sooooo, does anyone know any internet company or something that I can get insurance with? I will be staying in japan and going to china and tibet, england, africa and back to australia within the next year. Any help would be great. Thanks. |

There are a couple of insurance companies that will insure foreigners here. Look at Global health Insurance (not sure if it covers you when you travel overseas though). Another one called Expat (not great, maybe 3 stars). I was on Medicare from the UK which is good but its not cheap, about 500 pounds or about 100,000 pounds a year for premiums |
