Buncha double talk. Not a standard SAFEA contract. Pass.

Looks like you need to figure out if you are working for a BPO school. It looks like a boilerplate contract it gives to all its teachers. It looks like it spells out separate compensation for the BPO and other teachers.

On the typical foreign teacher (SAFEA) contract the school pays a salary, a travel bonus of ~RMB 2200, an airfare bonus or reimbursement, and either provide living quarters or a housing stipend. Some also add a utilities bonus for water, electricity etc., and some add school meals or school meal credit. This contract adds all* of those up as total salary, which, given the above convention in SAFEA contracts, seems intentionally misleading. I used to work at an office in the US that was always trying to impress us with our "total compensation package" so that we wouldn't think we were underpaid.

*Except that they don't mention a housing stipend or provided accommodation. Is accommodation mentioned in another clause?

If indeed there is no accommodation provided (rent free) or a separate housing stipend, then it is a very crappy contract. As it is, I don't like the double talk as mentioned above, so I wouldn't trust this outfit.

The only positive is that teachers should be thinking entire package ("remuneration package") when comparing jobs, and not just salary. This contract, while apparently intentionally confusing, at least points to that.

On second look, there does indeed seem to be a clause or two that you didn't provide, to get the total package up to 14k -16k. I still have my reservations about this contract, but just be sure to measure it against other contracts and their bonuses, etc. And of course, measure it against what work and time commitments each job offer entails. Try to measure apples to apples.

Hangzhou Helen !

BPO school means something like "best possible option".
The school that they choose for you, not the school that you choose.

So much negative info about this organization that operates under about a dozen different names.
You can do a search on this forum of "hangzhou and helen"

Here is another one of their ads using the term " BPO"
http://www.helengroup.com/hotjobs_con.asp?id=547&classid=25
"Monthly salary:based on degree and teaching experience ■RMB7,500~7,700~8,000~8,300 (covering basic salary RMB4,800~5,000~5,300~5,600, house rent allowance RMB2,000, residential allowance RMB500, insurance allowance and clinic allowance RMB200). During the months of July and August of 2012 there will be no salary given as there is no work at this time but free accommodation will be provided during these months by the BPO School."

Upon examining the written submissions of the prospective employers, heretofore referred to as the BS party, and having taken note of the various clauses, sub clauses and super clauses, notwithstanding any and all information that has been incorrectly, with or without malice aforethought, poorly or deliberately and possibly unreasonably translated from the original Chinese into the subsequently incoherent and arguably actionable poor English, it is my considered and complementary honest and therefore conceivable opinion that the party of the third part, hereinafter referred to as 'you', should, as a matter of great importance, maintain an attitude of extreme, that is to say, without regard to any persons, real or fictional, deceased or currently non deceased, give this contract, after due consideration and subsequent idealogical filtering, as wide a berth as is is possible to give whilst still maintaining your current position within the gravitational field of the planet currently contained within the solar system of the sun, hereafter referred to as the star knows as Sol, known to its inhabitants as 'Earth' AKA The World.
